FFV’s HD Solutions at the 2008 NAB Show

At the 2008 NAB Show, FFV will be demonstrating DVR systems already in production as well as a number of groundbreaking innovations currently in development — including first-of-their-kind solutions for HD recording.

Omega HD™
The choice of a national sports association, the HD version of FFV’s flagship high-end Omega DVR can record either SD or HD video with high-quality JPEG2000 compression up to 100 Mbits/sec. The recorder allows users to simultaneously record, play, and store multiple SD and HD video files and create video clips, loops, and playlists utilizing the simple-touch front panel controls. This makes the Omega HD™ ideal for many applications including graphics and key fill, station automation, spot insertion, and sports/instant replay. The Omega HD uses standard removable SATA drives and offers accurate frame control via RS-422 or Ethernet using standard control protocols.
